American Studies Then and Now. 

American Studies experiential learning circa 1992 on the first outing to Pullman and the 2023 outing to Pullman with current Majors.  Some alumni featured in the 1992 photo are: Professor Henry Binford and Professor Jim Oakes, Ken Alder, Jan Reiff, Nathaniel Frank, Joe Crespino, Ben Zaybol. What is American Studies

The American Studies Program is an honors-track major that draws on a broad range of faculty from the humanities and social sciences. Students examine components of U.S. culture, the diverse experiences of Americans, and others affected by Americans locally, nationally, and globally.
